Thomas gottschalk tweets himself into the christmas spirit

TV presenter thomas gottschalk is clearly enjoying the pre-christmas season – and is not letting the forest fires or minor differences of opinion spoil his fun. Since last week, the 67-year-old has been tweeting daily glimpses of his holiday preparations in malibu, california.

Gottschalk tweeted his first christmas post last thursday. "Back in LA. The christmas tree is rounded and the forest burns with it. A nice gift!", wrote the former "bet that..?"-moderator to a picture of the severe forest fires currently ravaging california. On friday, he gave the "all-clear for the time being".

Gottschalk’s "christmas in malibu" series continued with a picture of a rabbit figure lying in a christmas manger in place of the baby jesus – which his wife found "not funny". This was followed by a picture of a fallen christmas tree in the garden and one of the house cat visiting the nativity scene.

On monday (local time) gottschalk then tweeted a whole dialogue with wife thea. According to the motto "last year there was more tinsel" the two discuss the degree of decoration of their tree. "Thomas: already! Thea: it still needs to be decorated. Thomas: I almost like it better this way. Thea: I believe it. The box with the christmas decorations is in the attic…"
